RAE AILYSE

Rae AilyseHey, Girl! Rae Ailyse was born on September 24, 2017, weighing a healthy 6lb 12oz. This tiny froglet wanted to be born breech, just to keep us all on our toes!

This mama worked so gracefully to bring her safely Earthside, and quickly! Her labor day began with strength, continued with a steady pace, and this woman remained in a position of control throughout it all! Rae’s grandmother (a source of great comfort) was feverishly racing to meet her from Texas, and arrived just in time.

PHOENYX DARKO

Phoenyx DarkoWelcome, to a very special girl, Phoenyx Darko! She was born at home on July 17, 2017, into the hands of her father, and she reached up towards him immediately. Her birth video is magical!

Pheonyx is Styrling’s little sister – a rainbow baby rising from the ashes of his death, she is bringing so much light to their family. We were all flooded with tears upon meeting her for the first time.

MACK ZACHARY

Mack ZacharyWelcome to your mother’s arms, Mack Zachary! He weighed in at 10lb 8oz and is measuring up to be a giant sweetheart!

Let’s talk about his mama… her energy was always relaxed, confident, and determined. Progress slowed during labor, but she sat herself down at the kitchen table to eat a full meal at 9cm dilation, and we continued. (Walk, squat, sip on water, walk, squat …and repeat!) This crossfit woman is a powerhouse, and her big boy is so lucky she’s his.

ISAAC BRYAN

Isaac BryanWelcome Earthside, Isaac Bryan! He was born in his family’s living room, welcomed by his siblings, and has been grinning since. Isaac weighed a healthy 8lb 10oz, with dimples, and kissable cheeks, and adorable chins.

His mother is a repeat client for me, from back in the day when I was a wee midwifery student. Our last baby together was born during a February blizzard, and Isaac arrived over a Strawberry Moon!

AUBRIANNA KENSLEIGH

Aubrianna KensleighHello, sweet Aubrianna Kensleigh! She was born under water, to a proud mother, and weighed 7lb 6oz.

Her labor was smooth, although it began with strength waking up her mama from a restful night’s sleep. She rocked on an exercise ball, found relaxation in the tub, walked around outside, and even napped in bed – an effective circuit, supported and encouraged by her doula. Y’all, this was a great birth!

JUDE JONAN

Jude JonanJude Jonan arrived on April  27, 2017 in the early morning hours, after we all spent the night waiting to meet him. He was born in his parents’ bed, caught by his father, weighing 8lb 9oz.

I have loved caring for his mother; she did not have a pleasant birth experience with her first baby, and was determined to find a provider who listened to her this time. May we all be supported and trusted to make healthcare choices for ourselves!

TRUITT PAUL

Truitt PaulWelcome, Truitt Paul! This little dinosaur was born during a warm Spring evening, on April 17, 2017.

His parents are new to the area, and it has been such a joy visiting with and caring for this first time mama. We all watched episodes of The Office during labor, and wouldn’t you know it, this baby was born on the bathroom floor. (I caught him, don’t worry!) I’m thankful they asked for my help, but really, Truitt’s birth was an “easy” work day.
